With the maker bot you can create and customize objects and print objects off of sketch up or other maker Applications.

It takes about 12 hours to print  (I think)

What have 3D printers been used for in the science community? Why is this important? Who does it benefit?

3d printers can be used in science by making organs for people that need them and it benefits people that have been in car crashes etc.
